Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy
At this point in my medical career, I will be focusing entirely on the very important area of menopause management, both traditional and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. Fortunately, many options are now available to us. The majority of women who are in peri-menopause, menopause, or post menopause can expect to benefit from a preparation which is perfect for her. But even this may need to be changed from time to time. In addition, your formulation may not necessarily be the perfect match for your best friend or even family member.
The basis and beauty of compounded bio-identical hormone replacement therapy is that each prescription is custom-made to every woman’s needs based upon symptoms, expectations, and blood work results. In addition to this, as time passes, dosage changes are often required to offset the inevitable variations in our own hormone production, the "fine-tuning" phase.
Hormone therapy is not appropriate for every woman. Face-to-face time for review of medical history, on-going symptoms and personal goals is a very important part of the process. I invite you to come to my office to explore this therapy for yourself.

HALO
The HALO Pap Test for the Breast is now available and Dr. Wedberg recommends it for her patients.
By the time a woman feels a lump, the disease is no longer in its earliest, most treatable stage. The test takes five minutes to complete and is noninvasive. A combination of warmth, compression and mild vacuum is used to collect fluid from the breasts. Most women report no discomfort or mild discomfort during the test. Dr. Wedberg believes this is an important test to help understand a woman's risk of breast cancer, as well as providing us our best chance of developing a successful care path if your test shows any pre-cancerous abnormalities. Detecting breast cancer early is the key to avoiding a life-threatening battle.
Because insurance companies are not yet paying for this evaluation, it will cost you $90.00. If fluid is obtained from your breast, it will be sent for pathologic exam and a separate bill will be sent to you from the lab.
Please let the receptionist know if you would like to include the Halo at the time of your visit.
